The Digital Clothing Collider is a parallel effort to show the contrast of value and experiences between shopping in a physical store and browsing clothes an online digital store. It is a physical space to showcase the digital shopping experience.

Shopping, the perpetual and sustaining activity of capitalist society, is transitioning smoothly into the digital economy. Malls are failing, retail is conglomerating, and online retailers have found steady holds in the market. No serious retailer today is without an online store. This project developed after visiting the hometown of H&M, a global clothing retailer. As many shoppers forego traditional retail, the physical shopping experience is lost, isolated to the comforts of home and computer. The Digital Clothing Collider illustrates the experience of shopping digitally, in a physical incarnation.
